My first trip out of Europe with my camera and the one I was looking forward to the most because it is a totally different environment, climate and culture. There were some really good places to takes photos. The main places that I went to shoot was Chichen Itza, one of the seven wonders of the world. We also visited Coba, both are sites of great Mayan history and culture.

Lanzarote is just a quick ferry ride from Fuerteventura so we often pop over for a night or two, bit this was my first trip with the camera . I was only there for two days so didn’t get the chance to get many photos on there first day. We got the early morning ferry which allowed for some sun rise photos around the playa blanca harbour. This was my first trip back to the UK since getting my camera so was exited to go out and shoot different environments. It was great to vist Oxford City Centre to take photos as it is very different to back home in Fuerteventura. The trip provided quite a few opportunities to try and improve my portrait photography. My first trip with the camera out of Fuerteventura was to visit my grandparents in the Murcia region of Spain. I didn’t really know what I was doing with the camera on this trip as I had only had it for one month. I was still using full auto mode and not editing of my photos so they weren’t the best. Despite my lack of knowledge I’m proud looking back at them now.
